About The Aspirational Hipster

“I am not a hipster.” – Hipster

Hipsters find being called a “hipster” vile and condescending. To be classified as such goes against everything they personify.

I am not a hipster. I use the term not with resentment, but with endearment. To me, a hipster is someone who forges his own path and doesn’t care what other people think about it. He is effortlessly cool, passionate about things that others are interested in only in passing. He is part of a collective that popular culture once rejected and shunned but now looks toward for inspiration.

I am an aspirational hipster.

This collection of clippings and musings is for those out there like me who find inspiration from the aesthetic and ideology of the hipster.
